    This special release features our newly developed Herringbone Selvedge Denim, woven on vintage imported narrow-loom machines. By adjusting the heddle setup and weaving sequence, we’ve altered the yarn alignment to create a distinctive herringbone texture. Unlike the more common twill selvedge denim, this weaving style offers a unique visual identity and collectible appeal.

    Crafted from raw denim, the fabric will undergo natural fading and character development as you wear it. The fan-voted white cowhide leather patch adds a fresh accent, though due to the indigo bleeding during the unsanforized soaking process, subtle blue tinting may naturally occur on the light leather—a mark of authenticity and the passage of time.

EX916 Straight Fit – Summer Selvedge Edition
    Based on our classic 916XX silhouette, the EX916 features an extended rise for improved comfort and fit. The fabric is entirely self-developed and exclusive to our premium SAUCE ORIGIN line. This version combines a distinctive herringbone weave with a cotton–ramie blend yarn, composed of approximately 78% cotton and 22% ramie fiber. The result is a fabric that excels in heat dissipation and breathability—perfect for hot summer wear.

    Specially developed for the season, the denim weighs in at just 10oz, making it a lighter raw option without sacrificing durability. Woven on vintage shuttle looms with a traditional selvedge ID, the fabric has been pre-shrunk to minimize further shrinkage—choose your regular size. As a true raw “fade-to-personalize” denim, it will require an initial soak to remove starch and will develop unique fades and character with wear. For newcomers to raw denim, we recommend understanding the break-in and fading process before purchase.

Limited High-End Edition – Crafted on Vintage Sewing Machines
    This high-end model is produced in our sample room using a wide array of antique sewing equipment, resulting in extremely low production capacity. For now, only a small quantity is available for pre-order, with additional pairs released as they are completed.

    Every pair is sewn with premium Japanese GUNZE thread and meticulously crafted in our vintage-machine workshop, employing numerous rare machines from the 1940s–1960s. The detailing is exceptionally rich—examples include shell-pattern stitching on the fly and the rare “又” character stitch on the pockets—both distinctive techniques only possible on these antique machines.

    Maintaining and operating such heritage equipment is a labor-intensive and costly process, but the resulting craftsmanship is truly worth savoring. These details are exclusive to the SAUCE ORIGIN premium product line.

The main button is made from 925 sterling silver, hand-wrapped over a brass base, then meticulously polished and refined by hand—resulting in a finish as exquisite as fine jewelry. As the silver naturally oxidizes over time, it develops a darker patina, giving the button a uniquely rich and textured character. This is jewelry-grade hardware, exceptionally premium and costly to produce.

 

The secondary button is crafted from silver-plated brass. To enhance the design details, this Summer Snake Year edition features a serpent motif on the secondary button as well. Over time, with wear, the silver plating will gradually fade, revealing the warm golden tones of the underlying brass.
