A remake of the model of the jeans discoloration race of the SAUCE ZHAN 11th anniversary

The jeans fading contest started in November 2022 and ended on May 31, 2024, for one and a half years, and countless contestants were shared on social media with the fading process and photos, and we recreated the product that was used in the competition

This 11th Anniversary Reissue Denim Jeans are made from approximately 15oz heavyweight fabric, independently developed by SAUCE ZHAN. The design and development process took 10 months, starting in early 2022, and was created as a special edition for the year's fading competition. The fabric is crafted on antique looms imported from Belgium, using high-quality long-staple cotton yarn, with a coarse-grain selvedge edge.

The fabric features an innovative LOW TENSION weaving process, combined with high-twist yarn and variable slub yarn. By adjusting the warp tension during weaving, an irregular "explosive" effect is created, giving the fabric its unique grainy texture. To meet most users' preferences regarding shrinkage and twisting, the jeans undergo a pre-shrinking process, resulting in a shrinkage rate of about 2%. Although this process slightly flattens the surface texture, the grainy feel becomes more pronounced and tactile after washing. Over time, the jeans will fade with wear, forming their own distinctive patterns.

The main button features a unique geological fracture texture, with 925 silver hand-wrapped over a copper base. After meticulous hand-polishing, the button achieves a jewelry-like refinement. As the silver oxidizes and darkens, the texture becomes even more distinctive. The secondary buttons are made of silver-plated brass, and with wear over time, the plating will gradually fade, revealing the underlying brass and adding a vintage charm.

The SAUCE ORIGIN series is crafted using vintage blackhead sewing machines from the 1940s to 1960s, in order to achieve finer craftsmanship and intricate details. Due to the slower production speed and the high cost of raw materials, each product embodies exceptional craftsmanship and unique quality.
